It depends on who you ask. To me, "plant-based" means a majority of the foods in the food lifestyle are plants- veggies are the main course.
While this program is written with vegetarian ingredients, including honey, my primary focus getting you to the recommended 5+ servings of produce per day. If you'd like, you can modify the recipes to make it vegan or include some lean meats.

However, you don't need meat to thrive, and many people eat much more than is useful for a balanced diet while not getting eating enough plants. You'll be surprised how satisfied are without meat if you do this plan as written!

The average amount of calories range from 1450-1550 per day. Carbs are 40-50%, protein averages 15-20%, and fat averages around 30-40%. There are no specific recommendations for portion size. The foods are balanced, so generally- just eat until you're 80% full (details in the Full Plate diet sessions).
There are also recommendations for people with higher calorie/hunger requirements and a guide on how to adjust the macros if needed.
